The family of the owner of Hilton Hotel, Ile-Ife, Osun State, Chief Ramon Adedoyin, has denied claims on social media that the hotelier is a ritualist.

Chief Adedoyin was arrested after a Master’s degree student of Obafemi Awolowo University, OAU, Timothy Adegoke, who came from Abuja to sit for his examination at the OAU distance learning centre, Moro, Osun State, died in the hotel.

In a statement by the family’s lawyer, Mr. Abiodun Williams, the family claimed the hotelier has businesses managed by employees on his behalf.

They urged Nigerians on social media to stop smearing the hotelier’s name on social media, insisting that Adedoyin is not a ritualist and had no hand in Adegoke’s death.

The family noted that Chief Adedoyin was saddened by the death of the young man.
